Behind the Frame: Our Craftsmanship Process

From digital data to museum-quality artifact. Take a look inside our workshop and discover how we transform your routes into lasting keepsakes.
It starts with your GPX file. That simple collection of coordinates and timestamps holds the essence of your achievement. Our first step is to extract not just the route, but its character. The gradients, the terrain, the rhythm of your effort.
Next comes the design process. Our algorithms analyze your route and generate multiple visualization options. We consider the overall composition, the balance of positive and negative space, and how the elevation profile complements the map view. Every route is unique, and our design reflects that.
Then the physical craft begins. We use archival-quality materials exclusively. Acid-free matte boards that will protect your print for generations. Museum-glass that filters UV rays while offering crystal clarity. Solid wood frames crafted by skilled artisans.
The printing process uses pigment-based inks on cotton rag paper. These materials are the same used by galleries and museums to preserve works of art. Your achievement deserves nothing less.
Finally, every piece is hand-assembled with meticulous attention to detail. We check every corner, every edge, every aspect of the finished work. Only when it meets our standards does it earn the TapiKat name.
This is more than manufacturing. It's a labor of love for fellow athletes and adventurers.
